The Hopetown - Caribbean House Cottage Plans.....
The Hopetown Cottage is a design we developed for those interested in a "real" Island house who are on a very small budget or a very small lot. We've combined several of details from our Planter's Houses with a little bit of Bahamian Flair to produce what we think is a very functional yet colorful design that's happy on a beach, in the woods or placed in an Eleuthera village. For locations where insects are a problem, the porches. both front and rear, can be screened without losing any of the charm. The HopeTown is a simple home with all the gingerbread detailing placed on the smaller front facade, making it possible to achieve a well detailed Island look without a great deal of expense. The home features a large Island Kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms that belie their small size. One Bedroom is designed to function as a private Den or Study. A great deal of "Island Home" packed into a small and efficient plan. And a house that a family could build themselves.
